bloom where god plants you

bloom where god plants you

commit to the lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed

proverbs 16:3

hey friends 🙂 happy summer! it’s been a while! i’m back today with a special message about what i’ve learned recently.

a few days ago, a friend told me that they would be happier or more successful if something in their life happened differently. they talked for a solid 10 minutes about how they should’ve said something different and then everything would’ve been great. they truly believed that life would be 10x better if they made a different decision.

now this might totally be true, i’m not trying to bash their statement or beliefs. honestly, i’m guilty of thinking like this too. we all make decisions that could potentially change our life completely, and we all make decisions that have no drastic effects.

however, this isn’t something we should sit and ponder on. we shouldn’t wrap our whole life around a simple mistake we made.

instead, we should look to the future and focus on how we can make our lives better, instead focusing on what we should’ve done in the past.

i read cute quote that said to “bloom where God plants you”

at first i didn’t think much of it… but then it got me thinking, why don’t we bloom where God plants us?

why are we so obsessed with why can make our lives “better?” why are we not happy with the numerous blessings that God has given us NOW? why are we so obsessed with the happiness we can gain in the future, instead of the happiness we are blessed with now?

proverbs 16:3 says to commit to the lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.

i’ve said it once and i’ll say it again. king solomon was a genius.

once we commit our life to the Lord, all we will see is our success. nothing else will matter other than the joy and blessings that God has given. wouldn’t that be awesome?!

this week I challenge y’all to focus only on blooming where God has planted you. don’t let your life revolve around whatever mistakes you have made.

whether you do this by thanking God each day for anything you can think of, or by showing someone in your life that they are important to you- do it out of thankfulness.

God has blessed YOU!!

happy summer! i hope that the chaos in your life has calmed down a bit in the past week or two. i hope that your stress has completely left you. most of all, i hope that y’all are HAPPY! it’s so important to be happy with something in your life, and i hope y’all can find something that makes you truly joyful.

with prayers and love,

katie
